Hi,
I am planning on doing a tour to North Korea through 'Explore North Korea', they start in Dandong, china. They seem to be fairly reasonably priced (in comparison to other tour operators) I think this is because they mainly have Chinese tourists and travel by boat and train. I have been assured that there will be an English speaking guide. Their website is http://www.explorenorthkorea.com/4-day-tour-via-dandong.html. The cost is 6400 RMB (about 730 Euros (and includes a 800RMB ticket for the Mass games)). Hotels and meals in North Korea are included. I think this tour would be a lot more interesting and fun with another English speaker.

eskibeat Hey Katie! I set up the other trip that Todd posted a link to below.. The price is a little more but we're leaving from Beijing / not Dandong.. but the bonus is it's not a Chinese company trip, this is a guy I already went with last year. I am leading the trip myself, and if you stay on for longer than the four days we'll also be visiting Hamhung (where no foreigners have been before) or Wonson... which is this amazing port town where they take you to the beach and you ended up chilling out with Iranian embassy officials etc. like I did last year... !!! urbanomad I went last year to Pyongyang to check out the Mass Games and the city. My friends and I went with Koryo Tours, they're based out of Beijing (all the tours start from there). I thought they were very knowledgeable and the group was interesting (although I guess it's a certain kind of person that goes on holiday to North korea). I live in China and planning to go back to see other parts of the DPRK in the spring.

comehikewithmike Would love to see those pictures. I think it's easy to assume North Korea is colorless, when really I imagine it's an amazing dimension.

Katie Hi Urbanomad, How did you find the trip? Were the mass games good? I think i will still go with the company in Dandong as they are a fraction of the price. Do you think you will go back?
