After buying horses in the south of Patagonia, training them a little, we would go north until Bariloche or further, lollowing mainly the road 40. There will be one pack horse, so it'a a 6 months travel altogether.
The tripmate should be good at spanish, have a good experience in horse riding and trekking.

irhunter Have you done any of this in South America (i.e., buy horse or ride on RN40) before? How much do you think the horses will cost? You plan to actually ride on RN40? Roy
