I have travelled extensively through Europe with a backpack, but now I want to spend time in the mountains of Europe and maybe even the Caucasus. I would like to stay a few nights in Chamonix, Climb Mont Blanc, try Via Ferrata (spelling?) in Italy, paraglide in Switzerland, and anything else adventurous.

I am early 30s looking for anyone in their 20s to 50s to travel with. I like to travel with men and woman, as long as they don't complain too much and like to try new things. I don't mind living cheaply either if the budget sounds too much. But hiring a guide for Mont Blanc will cost a lot and I really want to do it. But I'm flexible with everything else.

The dates I chose are just to give an idea of my availability and the climbing season for Mont Blanc. I don't plan the trip to last the whole two months. Maybe 3 weeks
in between. But let's discuss first. I'm really looking forward to talking to other overland travellers. I don't really get a chance at home.

500ppm hello ulrike, i would be pretty much up for the mont blanc (june to august), and the para gliding thing. i am currently based in paris and already got in touch with some guides in chamonix. - i think that you could save some money if we organized the preparatory days ourselves in switzerland before and then hire the guide for the 3-day tour to the mont blanc. did you already proceed with the plannings?

Jebbert Hey I am definitely interested in this, and could easily get the funds for it. I am a strong mountain climber and was thinking of doing Mont Blanc next year. I just got to make sure there is nothing planned already for that time. The only problem would be paragliding as I have never done that before.

Sunny Hi Ulrike! I'm planning to climb Mt Blanc next summer, most likely sometime between July-September. I don't have much mountaineering experience yet, but there are several businesses that will guide you up there and you'll learn the skills as you climb, so I'm taking the whole challenge as a learning opportunity. Let me know if you're still up to this and maybe we could team up!

ulrike Absolutely still up for it. I'll be in Asia in early 2001, an hopefully make it back to Europe mid-2010. Have you done much climbing before?

Sunny Mountain climbing on or ice climbing no, so far I've just been hiking. I'm doing rope climbing indoors, so I know a bit about ropes and stuff but in mountaineering I'm a novice.

karkas I am interested in this trip. I prepared to make Mt. Blanc climb with group of friends. But I refused it recentle, because acclimatization and climb plan is not acceptable for me. Leader want to sleapp in tents on snow and glaciers, nad he chooosed most dangerous normal route to Mt. Blanc. I am interested to discuss possible options with other people or t ofind companions. I prefer to climb Mont Blanc from Italian side (Pope Route).
