An adventure - Group Travel

Hey guys, I'm Matt, 23 from Texas. I'm going backpacking in may. I am looking for a travel partner or just someone to grab a beer with, the dates that I have set are not in stone (only 2 weeks though) and I'm willing to change and/or be flexible as to where I start my trip as long as I end up in Rome ( my dream location). My thoughts were to fly to Madrid hit up Barcelona maybe scuba dive. Then fly or travel to Venice ( very cheap to fly) then make my way towards Rome. This is my first backpacking trip and I'm willing to change from my schedule if it works. Also I'm down for almost anything, I just want this experience and maybe share it with someone else. I'm pretty laid back and want to do a little bit of everything sightsee, museums, party, maybe dive or snorkel, and maybe do some fishing go off the beaten trail, and eat some amazing food.
