Name Backpacking + Treks: Switzerland, Bavaria & Austria
Backpacking trip for late summer 2016. I have been dying to do this for quite some time. I have never traveled to Europe, nor have I done an extensive backpacking trip. I am a fit, healthy, 24 yr old female who is passionate about the outdoors, travel and culture. I haven't set my itinerary in stone just yet, as the trip is 2 years away, but I will update this as the date approaches. For now, my plan is to start the trip by flying into Switzerland. I haven't researched the hikes i'd like to take there yet, or the places i'm interested in seeing the most. I just know that I want to spend some time traveling there. From Switz, I look forward to visiting Bavaria, and hiking through the beautiful landscape. I also am excited to drink Bavarian beer! I hear there are beer gardens that you can hike up to- I am all about that. I plan on visiting Munich too. I then plan on making the Stubai Horseshoe trek in Austria, which is a projected 8 day hike, and a gorgeous one at that! There are cozy huts to stay in if available during this trek, which is all the more exciting. Of course, I will plan on perusing through Vienna while in Austria too. I would LOVE to do a bit of tour cycling there too if possible. I'm also very open to whatever places you might like to go to as well, honestly I would be excited to do anything!
I would love to share this surely memorable experience with a fellow backpacker. I am looking for a female (sorry, guys. No offense, I just know it would make my boyfriend very sad) around my age with experience in backpacking and trekking. Someone who is also experienced in traveling would be nice too, as well as sleeping in a tent if need be. I was thinking a mix of hostels, our tents, huts and a nice, safe house (if offered along the way) are my choices for sleeping. Whatever to skimp on spending too much! Aside from English, I speak a little Italian. I will try to learn enough German in the next two years. It would be an awesome bonus if there is someone out there who can speak fluent German!
I'm very easy to get along with, I have a great sense of humor and I'm laid back. I am looking to just have an absolute blast while traveling. I want to have lots and lots of stories to tell about this trip! So if there are any badass ladies out there who'd like to join me, let me know!!
