Climb Mount Toubkal trek, Morocco - Group Travel

1st Day: After arrival in Marrakech, you will be transferred to your hotel near Jamaa El Fna square. Here you will be able to explore the area. Dinner & Breakfast included.
2nd Day: Marrakech - Imi Oughlad - Tizi Oussem (5 hours of walk). After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel in Marrakech, and then you will head towards Imi oughlad where you will meet our team (a guide, muleteers, a cook, etc). You will start our Trek in a forest of green oaks to reach the pass of Tizi Tacht which is at 2000 m. overnight in lodging in Tizi Oussem village.

3rd Day: Depart the village of Tizi Oussem passing by the Tizi Mzik pass at 2400m. Then continue towards Imlil where you will have lunch and overnight at a guesthouse. 5 hours walking time.
4th Day: Today we begin our trek. Heading along the Ait Mizane Valley, we first pass the village of Aremd and then onto the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch. We then continue east and by crossing the flood plains our route takes us along mule tracks and up into the high rocky cliffs above the valley. Crossing the river we eventually come to the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, which attracts tourists and pilgrims. From here the trail continues to climb steadily, snaking and zigzagging its way up to the snowline and the Toukbal Refuge (3206m), our stop for the night. Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner included. Approx. 4 to 5hrs walking.

5th Day: Early in the morning we make our attempt on the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Our route takes us up the south cirque, crossing the stream above the refuge. The walking is relatively straightforward, but the scree and the altitude will make the going quite difficult in parts. The views along the way make the journey more than worthwhile. When you reach the the summit you will see that the vistas across the surrounding landscape are quite breathtaking. From here there are unrestricted views in every direction, from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. We will retrace our steps when we return down the mountain to the Toubkal Refuge where we will have lunch before we head back towards Imlil. Overnight in a Guesthouse in Imlil. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included. Approx. 9hrs walking.

6th Day: Transfer back to Marrakech where you will overnight at the same Hotel. Dinner & Breakfast included.
7th Day: Transfer to the airport.
