Day 01: Arrive in Kuching City, Sarawak, Malaysia, Borneo

Day 02: Half Day Kuching City Tour / Half Day Sarawak Cultural Village
• Breakfast at your hotel

• In the morning, meet your guide at the hotel lobby and proceed for a Kuching Sightseeing Tour.

The tour includes the visit of the Tua Pek Kong temple, the oldest Chinese temple in Sarawak which was built in 1876. View the Fort Margarita from Kuching Waterfront. Proceed to the modern Civic Center to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Drive by St. Joseph’s Cathedral, the Syariah (Muslim) Court, traditional Malay houses built on stilts and the mosque built along the riverbank.

While winding through the heart of the city, look out for the majestic Astana, the former palace of the White Rajahs, now the official residence of the Governor of Sarawak. Stop for few minutes in front of the old colonial Court House, complete with a Clock Tower and a granite obelisk built in memory of the second White Rajah, Charles Brooke.

The highlight of the tour is the visit of the Sarawak Museum, one of the finest in South East Asia. It is a treasure house of artifacts and exhibits with great archaeological and cultural significance. The tour concludes with a transfer back to your hotel.

• In the afternoon, Meet your guide at the hotel lobby and proceed for an approximately 45 minutes drive to the Damai Peninsula to visit the Sarawak Cultural Village.

The tour combines both experiences of culture and nature. Known as the “Living Museum” Sarawak Cultural Village offers an opportunity to admire the richly diverse multi-racial cultures of Sarawak as displayed and presented in the traditional homes of the various indigenous tribes in the village.

See how local handcrafts are made. The tour at the Sarawak Cultural Village concludes with the fascinating cultural performances at the air conditioned theatre. The tour concludes with a transfer back to your hotel.

Day 03: Full Day Bako National Park Tour

• Breakfast at your hotel

• In the morning depart from your hotel in the city to commence a full day trip to Bako National Park. A scenic drive in the morning will bring you to Bako Fishing Village Jetty, where an exciting motorized boat ride will take you to marvel at the abundant natural beauty of Sarawak’s most popular National Park. Trek along the trails to spot wildlife in its natural surroundings including the proboscis monkeys, the monitor lizards, bearded pigs, silver leaf monkeys and more than one hundred species of birds. The stunning tropical rainforest ranges from the mangrove swamp forest to kerangas (Health Forest) to cliff and beach vegetations. Exotic plants found along the trails include the several species of pitcher plants and wild orchids.

You may end your trekking at a beautiful secluded swimming beach. Lunch will be served in the Park’s Canteen. Return in the afternoon to your hotel in Kuching.

Day 04: Kuching City / Ngemah Ili
• Breakfast at your hotel

• In the morning meet your guide in the hotel lobby for your Ngemah River Safari. Proceed with your journey along the Pan Borneo Highway, passing through beautiful sceneries of rural villages, towns and gardens of pepper, rubber and rice fields. A short stop will be made at Serian town (60 km from Kuching) where you can explore the market where the locals selling fruits and vegetables. After Serian your trip will bring you to Lachau where you will have your lunch and the opportunity to buy presents for the Iban families in the Longhouse. Arriving at the Lubong Subong jetty located around 240 km from Kuching, the Iban will bring you for a longboat ride upriver to their longhouse (Rumah Kanyan/ Ngemah ili). On arrival at the longhouse, leave your belongings in the family room. You will be served with coffee and tea and mingle with the families. Dinner will be served at one of the family rooms.

After dinner, the Ibans will sound their gongs and perform their traditional warrior and maiden dance in full ceremonial regalia with the longhouse chief and folk. Rice Wine “Tuak” will be served. Overnight spent in the Longhouse with mattress/ mosquito nets/ pillow (very basic accommodation)

Day 05: Ngemah Ili / Kuching City

• Breakfast with the Iban Families.

• In the morning you will witness a presentation of the traditional weapon of the Iban, the blowpipe. Afterwards proceed upriver by longboat to a place at the riverbank where your guide and the Iban will cook your lunch in the traditional way, using bamboo.

• Now it is time to say goodbye to the Ibans. After proceeding downriver by longboat your guide will bring you back to Kuching by van along the Pan Borneo Highway to your hotel in the city.

Day 06: Kuching City / Miri City, Sarawak, Borneo – Full Day Niah National Park Tour

• Breakfast at your hotel

• Free at own leisure until your transfer out to Kuching Airport to catch your flight to Miri Airport

• Meet and greet by our local guide in Miri airport. Proceed for your full day Niah National Park Tour.

• Proceed for a two hours drive to Niah National Park. The journey will take you about 90 minutes. Register at the park headquarters upon arrival. Hence by boat across the Niah River to the museum follow by an hour plank walk to the caves entrance. This entrance was called The Great Caves.

The Niah National Park, Sarawak is the site of the Niah Caves, one of the largest limestone caves in the world. The Park covers 3,102 hectares (7,756 acres) of forest and limestone. The peak of Gunung Subis, which is 394 meters high (1,294 ft), dominates the landscape. One may explore the vastness of the Great Cave, where archaeologists have discovered evidence of man's existence in Borneo dating as far back as 40,000 years ago. On display is the skull of a young Homo Sapien, some tools made out of stone, bone and iron, and cave drawings. Anthropologists established that the Niahian lived in the Caves from 40,000 BC right up to 1400 AD. As more than half the park is covered with limestone, limestone vegetation is the most common variety of plant life. The families of Balsaminaceae and Begoniaceae are commonly seen at the entrance of the Traders' and West Mouth Caves. Peat swamp and mixed dipterocarp can also be found in the Niah. Animals are not easy to spot, but if you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of the park's inhabitants: long-tailed macaques, bulbuls, trogons, squirrels, flying lizards, Rajah Brooke butterflies, hornbills, mouse-deer, and water monitors.

En-route back to the park canteen where lunch will be served. Transfer to your hotel in Miri.

Day 07: Miri City – Mulu, Sarawak, Malaysia, Borneo / Deer & Land Caves
• Breakfast at your hotel

• Free at own leisure until your transfer out to Miri Airport to catch your flight to Mulu

• Meet on arrival at Mulu Airport and transfer to your choice of accommodation. In the afternoon, we will be transferred to Mulu National Park Headquarters and take the plankwalk to the Canopy Skywalk. The 480 metre Mulu Canopy Skywalk is the longest tree-based walkway in the world. The complex ecosystem of the forest canopy provides a unique opportunity to view a variety of birds, insects and plants that cannot be seen from the ground. Proceed to Deer and Lang Caves. Explore both caves. If time and weather permits, stay back to witness the exits of the millions of bats flying out of Deer Cave for their nightly feeding forays. Return to the Park Headquarters and overland transfer to your accommodation for overnight.
Day 08: Wind Cave / Penan Longhouse / Clearwater Cave
• Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Full Day will be spent exploring the national park with your guide visiting Clearwater Cave and Wind Cave. Local lunch will be served. Swim at the Clearwater pool. Return to your accommodation. Free at own leisure.
• Overnight at your choice of accommodation in Mulu, Sarawak, Malaysia, Borneo
Day 09: Mulu, Sarawak – Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, Borneo
• Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Free to explore the surrounding Mulu area on your own before your transfer to Mulu Airport to catch your flight to Kota Kinabalu.
• Meet and greet upon arrival by our local guide in Kota Kinabalu Airport. Transfer to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu City.
• Free at own leisure

Day 10: Full Day Kota Kinabalu City Tour and Mari Mari Cultural Viillage
• Breakfast at your hotel

• The village is located about 25 minutes away from the city. The journey will take you to long roads surrounded by a rich spectrum of greenery and overarched by wild blue skies. In the village, the colours of cultural diversity are not an issue but rather our pride, where you can savour the soul of Sabah.
• Meet your guide at the hotel lobby and proceed to the village. Upon arrival, you will be assembled and will be briefed on the village rules.
• As you enter the suspension bride, you will be fascinated with the sight of a river flowing. “Visit each tribe’s traditional house and do some in-house activities and stopover at demo huts where a welcome ceremony will be held at a one of the tribe houses. Then proceed for a cultural performance. After the performance, you will be led to the Dining Hall where you may leisure around for about 15 minutes to shop, take photos or just relax and enjoy the natural surrounding. Enjoy the delectable traditional and fusion cuisines for lunch before we depart the village. It is now time to bid farewell and proceed for your city tour.
• Highlights of the tour are a visit to the Sabah Foundation Building which is a unique 30-storey building (it is a circular Structure supported by high tensile steel rods, an architectural and engineering marvel. There are only four such buildings in the world. It is Sabah’s highest tower. Next, proceed to the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque, which is an exemplary of the Islamic contemporary architecture. Later, proceed to the Signal Hill, the highest point in the city and is one of the best placed to get a bird’s eye view of Kota Kinabalu. Next, visit the Handicraft Market, a favoured shopping haunt for locals and tourists alike. Souvenirs galore await you and rest assured there is something for everyone. Transfer back to your hotel after the tour.

Day 11: Kinabalu National Park
The Kinabalu Park covers a staggering area of 754 Sq Km from the Park HQ area all the way to Poring Hot Spring (40km) away. It is bigger then Singapore. Poring Hot Spring is in the lowlands, a complete contrast of the Park HQ. Soak away the sores and aches of the muscles in the hot sulphuric minerals of the spring, claimed to have curative powers and very popular with the locals
• Breakfast at your hotel

• 0730: Meet at hotel lobby and proceed to Kinabalu Park, Malaysia’s Natural Heritage site. Journey will take approximately 2 hours passing by villages, paddy fields along mountainous roads that wind along the Crocker range. A brief stop over at Nabalu, a collection of native stalls selling fruits, vegetables, local produce and handicrafts. An opportunity to observe the local stall activities.

• 1000: Arrive at Kinabalu Park, enjoy the cool and refreshing mountain air, if the day is clear a majestic view of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia.

• 1200: Depart for lunch at local restaurant.

• 1330: After lunch, proceed for a guided walk along the nature trails with the park naturalist. While walking listen to the sounds of the jungle and observe the low land rainforest.

• 1530: Depart Poring Hot Spring for Kota Kinabalu. On arrival, transfer to your respective hotel.

Day 12: Kota Kinabalu – Sandakan / Selingan Turtle Island
• Breakfast at your hotel

• Transfer to Kota Kinabalu Airport to catch your flight to Sandakan (Proposed Flights - MH2042 ETA 0800hrs or AK6080 ETA07:50hrs).

• Meet at Sandakan Airport. Transfer to the jetty for a boat ride to Selingan Turtle Islands Park. The journey to the island will take an approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Upon arrival, register at Turtle Island Parks HQ and check in at the chalet. After your lunch at the cafeteria, free at own leisure to enjoy the island; e.g swimming or snorkeling. After dinner, wait for the rangers call to observe turtle laying eggs. Transfer the eggs to the hatchery and if there are any young turtle hatchlings, this is an opportunity to observe the release of baby turtles to the open sea. Overnight will be spent at the Park Chalet.

Day 13: Sepilok / Abai / River cruise / Fire Flies night cruise Breakfast at your hotel
• After breakfast, drive for an approximately 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform. At 1000hrs, the feeding of the Orang Utans will commence. At this center, observe man’s closest relative “the Orang Utan” being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo. At 1100hrs, depart Sepilok and transfer to the jetty in Sandakan. At 1145hrs, take an hour boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will have your lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. After Lunch, free and relax at our nature board walk before cruising for searching other wildlife. After dinner, night cruise lead you to witness the nature of fire flies as Christmas tree.

• Overnight will be spent at Abai Jungle Lodge.

Day 14: Pitas Oxbow Lake / Tree Planting / Sukau / Menanggul River Cruise.

• Wake up by the calls of nature. In the early morning, take a river trip to Pitas oxbow lake to observe wildlife and experience the unique of Pitas oxbow lake. After breakfast, an option to join our tree planting project with the locals and lunch with them at Abai Village. This project is specially designed to help the locals. After lunch, cruise upriver to Sukau village in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Arrive Sukau, check in at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. In the late afternoon, take another river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. Return to the lodge for dinner

Day 15: Oxbow lake / Cruise
• Wake up by the calls of nature. In the early morning, take a river trip to the Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience of the longest river of Sabah. Return to the lodge and free at own leisure. In the late afternoon, take another river cruise with in search of more wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge.

Day 16: Gomantong Cave / Puh Jih Syh Temple
• Wake up by the calls of nature. After Breakfast, depart overland to Gomantong Bird nest Caves. Upon arrival, take a 15 minutes walk on the plank walk to the cave. Explore the largest bird's nest cave in Sabah, home to millions of Bats and Swiflets. The nest of the swiflets is collected for the famous Chinese edible birdnest soup. Then, continue your journey by land to Sandakan, drive up hill to the Puh Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist Temple, which offers a panoramic view of the Sandakan Bay before lunch at local restaurant or hotel. After lunch, proceed to airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu

Day 18: Half Day Brunei City Tour / Half Day Brunei Water Village & Proboscis Monkey Tour
• Breakfast at your hotel
• In the morning, meet your local guide for your Brunei City Tour. Highlights include the visits to the Brunei Museum, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, The Royal Regalia Exhibition Hall, Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque and photo stop at the entrance of the biggest residential palace in the World – Istana Nurul Iman which is the official residence of His Majesty The Sultan of Negara Brunei Darussalam. After the tour, your driver/guide will send you back to your hotel.

• In the afternoon, meet your local guide for your Brunei Water Village & Proboscis Monkey Tour. Transfer to the jetty in the capital city and continue on a scenic boat ride around the biggest Malay Water Village in the world. Visit to a local home where you can feel the daily livelihood of a typical villagers living in houses on stilts on Brunei River. Local refreshments will be served and continue your tour for a safari around the mangrove areas in the search for the endangered species primate – The Proboscis monkey of Brunei.
• The tour ends with transfer back to your hotel.

Day 19: Half Day Local Home Cooking Experience
• Breakfast at your hotel
• After breakfast, meet your guide and proceed to visit the local wet market. You will be taken to visit the fish market, meat market and vegetable market where you can observe the local housewives buying their daily food items for their family meal. After that, you will be transferred to a local home where you will be welcomed by a local host family. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about the way of life of the local Bruneian and making discovering new friendship opportunity. You can spend your time interacting with your host family members or help your host in the preparation of lunch in the kitchen. Your host will be more than happy to get a helping hand and you will have a hands–on experience on preparing local food. After lunch, you will be given a copy of the recipes of the dishes that you helped prepare. Say good bye to you host and your tour ends with transfer back to your hotel.
