My friend are looking into traveling through maintain Europe. We would really like to utilize the Eurorail pass. And are planning on getting one that last for two months. For the countries we stop in, we are pretty flexible. I am up for any suggestions you may have. And would love advice on what countries are essential to stop in. As for our stops we dont really know how long they will be. I think it might be a good idea to stay in a country for at least a week. But some people who have shown interest in the trip have stated that they just want to go all over Europe and sleep on the trains. For all of those who have travelled through Europe if you have any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated. And anyone who wants to join is more than welcome. We would like to travel through Europe cheaply (is that even a word).

Michael.Learns.To.Travel hey! i just posted a similar Euro trip for mid-july to mid-august.

I guess, it's all about goals and interests.. if you guys really want to enjoy a country, then you can actually stay that long on every city you're going. while if you want a blast of culture change (like on my case) then a continuous rail trip would fit best. My plan is to actually get the most out of my Eurrail by travelling all over Europe, i'd probably hit the capitals as well as the coasts (since it's summer) and would be staying a day or two in a city which means not more than a 3 or 4 days in a country.. if ever you could be on the same country on any of those dates, a coffee together will not be bad ;) goodluck!

Emiliya That's exactly the trip I've been looking for, my friends think I've lost my marbles... I am in! I've looked in Eurorail pass and I intend to make this trip for maximum 1month, sleeping on the trains and cheap hotels in big cities. I'm more for the summer of 2011 not march-got to save up :-)
