I plan on flying into Paris, and going in a circle around through the countries with Netherlands next, hitting each major city for a couple days at a time. Staying in Hostels, overnight trains as well to save on money. Would like to party a little in some of the cities, but not all. Want to play it safe and enjoy as much as I can in the time frame that I have.

Sample Itinerary

(Number in parenthesis is number of days in that city)

1. Fly into Paris, France (2)
2. Train day trip to Bayeux, France (1)
3. Train to Amsterdam, Netherlands (2)
4. Berlin, Germany (2)
5. Vienna, Austria (2)
6. Munich, Germany (2)
7. Interlaken, Switzerland (2 or 3 days)
- Do Cliff Jumping/Paragliding/Skydiving?
8. Venice, Italy (2)
9. Florence, Italy (2)
10. Rome, Italy (2)
11. Night train to Barcelona, Spain (2)
12. Madrid, Spain (2)
13. Train to Lisbon, Portugal for 2-3 days

That is the loop I would like to go on... I would like to party but keep it safe and spaced out if possible... wouldn't mind people to come along or tag along for legs of the trip! As long as we all have similar things we want to see and destinations!

Anne I like it! I am 27 years old and plan on starting in Ireland, then down through the UK, England, amsterdam, Germany, Paris, France, Switzerland, Italy and then Greece. If you are traveling anywhere near there we should meet up. I plan on leaving end of June through mid July. I have never backpacked before either, so this should be an awesome experience. I just plan on soaking up every moment spent there. I will be hosteling it all the way and overnight training it as well. Let me know. Where are u in the US?

compwc18 Hey Anne and Sarah, sorry I haven't been on here for quite awhile... my itinerary has changed quite a bit over the last month or so but most places are still the same... what are your plans... I leave the States on 7/10 arrive in Paris on 7/11 and am staying through 8/9 where I leave Portugal... It would be nice to meet some friendly faces for a part or two of the trip... - Jeremy
