Three Great Passes
This spectacular trek will more than satisfy the ambitious trekker intent on crossing high passes without the commitment to any technical climbing. The trek offers an enduring experience of natural beauty, geological magnificence and profound cross-cultural discovery. The Sherpa residents of Khumbu, the great valley below Mount Everest, believe that all things - mountains, plants and animals are sacred.
We start this trek from Lukla after 45 minute mountain flight. Trekking through Namche, Thame and to Renjola Pass, then to Gokyo. After spending a day in Gokyo valley trek to Chola Pass to reach over the Everest Base Camp area then cross the Kongma La from Pheriche and continue to Chhukkung. On return we will trek down to Tengboche and to Namche Bazaar then down to Lukla.
Strenuous with dramatic Himalayan scenes, including four of the world's eight highest peaks; Cho Oyu (8,201m), Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse (8,516 m) and Everest (8,850m). Breathtaking mountain vistas are complemented by visits to Sherpa villages, homes and monasteries offering you an insight into the quiet but, culturally vibrant Sherpa way of life.
Day to Day Itinerary of Three Great Passes of Everest Trek.
Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel and evening there will be welcome dinner provided by company in the Nepalese Restaurant with Nepalese cultural dance. Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 02: A day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley visiting in 4 different point such as Pashupatinath Temple of Hinduism greatest shrine, Baudhanath Stupa of Buddhist, Shyambhunath Stupa and Patan Darbur Squire Market. Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 03: Today early in the morning, we drive about 15 to 30 minutes to Tribhuwan International Airport. After 30 to 45 minutes of scenic flight to Lukla (2804 mtrs.), we begin our trek to Phakding (2610 mtrs.) - 3 hours easy walking. Overnight at Camp. B.L.D.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3535 mtrs.). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar, This is a day for an acclimatization. We have a fine walk around the valley to adjust with thin air. We will take you for a hike up to Khumjung and Khunde there you can see the traditional custom of Sherpa peoples. Namche Bazaar is known as the gateway of the Everest. Besides, a fine view of the Everest and other mountains can be overviewed from this place. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 06: A short trek to Thame (3800m) after arrival explore the Valley with visiting to Thame Monastery. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 07: Thame trek to Lungdeng (4600m). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 08: Lungdeng trek to Gokyo Lake (4790 mtrs.) via crossing Renjo pass (5435). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 09: Explore the Gokyo valley with morning hike up to Gokyo Ri for panoramic Mountain view including 4 major peaks which is over 8000 mtrs such as Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Makalu, and Mt. Nuptse. Then the day hike up to 5th Lake and climb no name peak on return over night stay will be at Gokyo. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 10 Around afternoon from Gokyo a short trek to Dragnag (4700 mtrs.). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 11: Dragnag Trek to Dzongla (4840 mtrs.) via crossing Chola pass (5330 mtrs.) Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 12: Dzongla trek to Lobuche and rest Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 13: Trek to Gorekshep and continue trek to Everest Base camp (5400mtrs.) and return to Ghorakshep. Overnight at Camp. B.L.D.
Day 14: The day starts with a hike up to Kalapathar (5545 mtrs.), an excellent viewpoint to observe the Mount. Everest and innumerable spectacular mountains views. After comliting the Kalapatthar trek down to Lobuche and free time to rest.) Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 15: Early morning began trek up to Kongma La (5535m ) and trek down to Chhukkung. Overnight at Camp. B.L.D.
Day 16: Chhukkung trek down to Tengboche (3850m). via crossing Dingboche and Pangboche. By reaching Tengboche, we visit a monastery known as Tengboche monastery. Then you will be taken to observe the prayer ceremony whether in the evening or morning. . Overnight at Camp. B.L.D.
Day 17: Tengboche trek down to Namche Bazaar and down to Monjo. . Overnight at Camp. B.L.D.
Day 18: Monjo Trek back to Lukla. Overnight at Camp. B.L.D.
Day 19: Morning flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 20: Transfer to Airport for your home departure. Farewell!!
