First off, my cost estimates are for monthly expenses.

I make a living online (author and blogger), and I'm looking to work and travel to new places, doing the location independent thing. I'm not looking to rough it; I need electricity and wifi, heh, and I prefer beds any more. I'd particularly like to visit SE Asia and places where money stretches farther.

It'd be nice to start out with someone else in like circumstances. I'm a quiet, introvert type, so not the greatest at just popping down in a new country where I don't speak the language. I'd love to share costs with someone who's maybe a little more adventurous. I usually do guided tours or cruises when I travel, but that's too costly a way to go for long-term.

I'm very flexible as to dates and locations. Oh, and I'm in my 30s, by the way. Female, non-smoker, light drinker, book geek. ;)

carla Hi, Sylvan, are you traveling yet? I'm looking for company in Thailand around the 1st-2nd weeks of May. I'm also the type that can use a good bathroom and a real bed! I'm in my 40's but I don't consider myself too old! :) Lots of my friends are in their 30's too... Let me know if your dates and plans fit to my schedule, and perhaps we can talk more.

Charlotte I have a Cuba trip already planned for 16 days in November it's one of those organised trips with a mate of mine so be less able to do exactly what I want but a lot of trekking and seeing the natural beauty and history of Cuba
