green river kayak or canoe trip - Group Travel

This river trip is on the Kentucky Green River, located in the west of the state. We are going to try and go nearly the full length of the river. The Green river is 617.98k (384mi) long. On a side note the Green river is lined with under water caverns, because of this the river's depth can change greatly. In places the river is only thirty ft. and about 50 seems to be the most consistent depth. The deepest spot recordable at this time is 395 ft. making it one of the deepest in the world. Some scientists believe it may be up to 3 miles in depth. We well have to come up on land from time to time to get around the small dams but not very often. The current at the time of the trip is most often very slow but deep bottom currents can be bad. But don’t worry it is not that bad on top. This has been done before….. not super hard…..
