jacquie Sounds like the perfect trip. Should take about 7 days. It doesn't have to be your last. I'm going to hike the IT for the 3rd time! Love that place! Acclimatizing is the trick. Coca leaf tea is a local remedy for altitude adjustment and many hotels have oxygen tanks in the lobby. You should be ready to hike by the 3rd day. Working on endurance before coming will make the hike more enjoyable.

happy06295 Have this experience and count it among the best of my life! It is very important to prepare properly for high altitude travel and to bring w you what you may need if adversely effected. Check with your doctor also!
