I volunteered last year with orang-utans in Borneo and the only programme that allows you to be hands on with the orang-utans is the travellers worldwide programme. It is quite pricey but worth every penny. It is also not harmful for the orang-utans for you to be hands on with them. The centre Sepilok has the highest success rate for rehabilitation back to the wild. Check it out.
