Hi folks! Looking to head to India, Nepal & Tibet between Sept-Oct 2010 - Would be great to share the adventure with like minded people.

- Tibet - **booking/deposit will be finalised in the next couple of days!

Snowlion is the company we are with - we have 5 people on this tour already and can fit in an extra 3 people, here is the link to the tour details:

Most of us are arriving from Xining, China and catching the overnight train to Lhasa.

Then once the tour is over, heading into Nepal from the Tibetan boader. Some others are leaving to hike around Nepal but I will unfortunately be having a short stay in Kathmandu and then heading on the train to Dehli where I will travel around Northern India for 3 weeks. Happy to see pretty much anything and everything of Northern India. I was hoping to hire a motorbike in India to travel around on, or a bike... :)

Travelling on a budget so will be rough'n it!! Have never travelled to India before so looking forward to the chaos and culture!

kay_kay Hey y'all! Just saw this link from Jess's post on lonely planet.. headin the same way too! My plan though is to start from India in mid sept and head to Nepal by mid october..planning to check out the taj mahal, ganges river, local culture and life, visit rajasthan, and definitely darjeeling..the toy train ..to shimla..and finally kathmandu.. so many places to see, but still open to even more suggestions like goa.. ladakh.. leh..etc etc.. feel free to give a buzz here so we can all work out something together :) -kay

dev Hi all, I am also planning to head to nepal and tibet in sept. i have been to india last year and loved it, and would be very keen to head back there as there is so much i didn;t get to see last time. hire/ buying bikes sounds like an awsome idea. how long were you planning to spend in nepal/ tibet

Jessica_Alice Hi dev! Will need to be in a tour group thingy for Tibet and have found one with SnowLion for 9 days - I have no set plans yet on how long I would be going to the other countries for as I'm leaving it open...just want to make sure I wont be alone in india and nepal as could be intense going solo - standing out from the crowd with long blonde hair and all haha. So really I am pretty laid back with the plans, I havn't booked the flights yet either.

TuckerWasHere Jess, sounds like an awesome trip. I'm actually going to be in that area of the world at the exact same time. I have an around the world ticket that is flexible where I can change the dates if needed. I think I fly into New Delhi around mid Oct and leave around Dec 1st or so.

Jessica_Alice Hey! Were you thinking of going to Tibet also? Need to be in a tour group to go to Tibet, just trying to find a group of us to go around mid september. coryjames I am interested! However, I wanted to work in renting a motorcycle to travel around for a duration of the trip. Anyone have any ideas on this?
