Name Italy: Art, Culture and lotsa Wine!
So, I've decided I need a break and what better place than Italy? Tuscany has been on my places to travel to for such a long time, I figured it's now or never. The plan is to not really have a hardcore detailed itinerary but just a rough guide. I'm keen on exploring cities like Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and Arezzo and apparently, Sept/Oct is a good time to go - post-summer crowds/prices, grape (wine) harvesting etc.
The plan is to fly into Pisa International Airport and travel by train/bus to the other cities (or maybe even rent a car if there are more peeps joining me!). I'm looking at homestay type accomodation options in a vineyard or a quaint town in Siena or Florence (recommendations any one?) - away from the mainsteam stuff. And then do day trips to the neighbouring cities - visiting vineyards, wine tasting, maybe try my hand at harvesting and squishing grapes into wine, olive plantations, museums, historical sites... chill, relax and be merry!
I found these links which were sorta useful:

Once I get a better idea on accomodation options and costs, I'll post an update on here. I'm open to male/female travel companions, so get in touch if you're interested! :) Ciao!
