Coming from Toronto, Canada here and looking to have my first experience of Europe! Backpacking several countries for 80 DAYS on a moderate budget and looking for people to company me along the way (can be throughout or only certain parts).

Starting the trip off in Berlin, then heading to Prague, Vienna and Hallstatt before heading into Italy, where I'll by checking out Bolzano/Trento, Venice and Milan. Then going to do ALL of Switzerland pretty much - Interlaken, Lucerne, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, Brig, Martigny and Lauterbrunnen - in about a week. From there I'm going to check out Paris for a bit before heading to Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid in Spain. Taking a cheap, short flight to Basel, Switzerland so I can continue up the West side of Germany, checking out the Rhine Valley (with a visit to Stahleck Castle Hostel!) and stopping in Frankfurt and Cologne. Making my way to Antwerp and Bruges in Belgium before going to...London for the OLYMPICS! Most likely buying a ticket to see Women's Beach Volleyball quarterfinals. From there I fly to Split, Croatia for Yacht Week, which me and 2 friends have booked (still looking for crew members if interested!). For the last leg of the trip I'm going to check out Mykonos for a relaxing week on the beach. Then head home to Canada!

Getting an unlimited Eurail pass for June + July so that's definitely preferred. Everything until Belgium is pretty flexible so I'm willing to rearrange parts of the trip to explore places of similar interest. I'm looking for easy-going guys or girls under 30 y/o to accompany me for chunks of my trip, or throughout if you want. I want to have lots of fun without getting into serious trouble - aka imprisonment lol. Will be staying in hostels for most of the trip as well, but nothing seedy or regrettable.

Anne Daniel, I would have loved to stay for the Olympics! Lucky dog you! I am a teacher and have to be back before school year...BOO! How do we go about keeping in contact with all the backpackers of interest? Have you figured out a way?

Natalia Guys, are you planning to be in Italy around June 01-16? All I've got at the moment are return tickets to Florence and am up for whatever comes my way! I'm 32 and that would be my first time in Italy. I could definitely do with some company :)

JBrina Did you find a place to stay in belgium for tomorrowland? I've been looking, and everything is booked that is fairly close. I don't want to spend a lot of money for a room that I will barely be in that weekend. Let me know if you find anything please.

JamesK Hi Daniel, I just followed your itinerary on Google Maps. Just amazing! Unfortunately I am studying in Lisbon until the end of June and I'll have summer school in Barcelona from 2 to 27 July. Therefore, I can only join you as from this date (I'll have August as holiday and really wanted to travel in Europe). Where do you plan to be on 27-28 July?

Daniel Everett Yeah it's going to be a SICK trip! Well I'll actually be in Barcelona while you have summer school so we can totally connect then! Maybe you'll join me and another GlobeTrooper in Ibiza for a weekend :P July 27 and 28th is the beginning of the Tomorrowland music festival in Belgium...TONNES of people will be there, so you should definitely consider going. After that it's Belgium, Amsterdam and London for the Olympics before flying over to Croatia for YACHT WEEK! (one spot left on our boat if you're really interested) After that I booked a nice relaxing week in Mykonos Greece :P

JamesK Sounds great and crazy!! All of it!! I'll be free during the weekends of July so we will meet in Ibiza! Well, on 27-28 July I guess I'll just take the plane and fly directly to Tomorrowland in Belgium! I am definitely interested in the yacht week!! Save my seat ;-) But it depends on a few conditions about my studies which I'm waiting to be settled (More explanations in a private message) If it was only up to me, I'll definitely come!

TrevorJMason What's up Daniel, super pumped you're headed to Tomorrowland I didn't really wanna wander around that place all fucked up by myself haha. I'm down to do some spots tho the only places I'm pretty locked in for are Barca the 2nd week of June, Ibiza the next week with like 7 or 8 other guys I live with at school, then Amsterdam before the festi cuz my bday is July 24th. Just lookin to have as much fun as possible in each city, I'm down for museums and what not but am lookin forward to partying mostly haha. Just facebook me if you can I go to michigan if that helps finding me.

Daniel Everett well i probably won't be hitting barcelona until the beginning of july...so we'll probably only be able to meet up around tomorrowland...was gonna go to amsterdam before too and cologne before that...after tomorrowland its brugge/antwerp and london for the olympics!
