I am a 58 yr. old female looking for a travel partner in Italy for a few weeks in July, 2012. I will arrive in Rome July 5, and plan to spend 6 days there before traveling to Florence and Venice. I fly home from Rome July 21st. I have booked a dorm room at the Beehive for 6 nights in Rome ($40./night). I am looking at booking rooms in convents in the other two cities as they are apparently, clean, quiet and inexpensive. I prefer to spend my $$ on visiting the sights and sampling the food, rather than on hotels.

Boredomfighter That could be great i think ! ive always believed that spending money on seeing and discovering is a way better than hotels . i share that and want to know about prices,( did you think about hostels or somthing like that? ) , im free starting from 10th i could like join 10th , do you have a plan ?

Lisa What country are you from & how old are you? My plans so far - I've booked into a hostel in Rome & a convent in Florence & still need to phone the convent in Venice. Would you be interested in staying at the same? I'm also going to book tickets to the museums, Colosseum, etc. on line to avoid the line ups.

Indigoblue2 I am from the United States, in my 40's and would not be interested in seeing the Colosseums as I have already. I have also seen most of the museums. Accommodations sound great!
