Gabon is a country located on the west coast of Africa. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Equatorial Guinea to the northwest, Cameroon to the north, and Congo-Brazzaville to the east and south. The country’s capital and largest city is Libreville. Gabon’s terrain is mostly flat with a few hills in the northern and southern regions. The climate is tropical with a rainy season from October to May. The average yearly temperature is 26 degrees Celsius. Gabon is home to a diverse population of over two million people. The majority of the population is Bantu, but there are also significant populations of Fang, Pygmy, and Hausa peoples. French is the official language of Gabon, but there are also many local languages spoken throughout the country. Gabon has a rich culture that includes traditional music, dance, and art. The country is also home to many national parks and reserves, which are popular tourist destinations.
