Ghana is a country located in West Africa. With a population of approximately 30 million people, it is the second most populous country in the region after Nigeria. The capital of Ghana is Accra, and the official language is English. Ghana covers an area of 238,537 square kilometers and shares borders with Cote d’Ivoire to the west, Burkina Faso to the north, and Togo to the east. The coastline of Ghana extends for 550 kilometers along the Gulf of Guinea. Ghana has a tropical climate, with average temperatures ranging from 23 degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius. The country experiences two rainy seasons each year, between March and April and September and October. Ghana is a culturally diverse country, with over 70 ethnic groups. The largest ethnic group is the Akan, who make up around 47% of the population. Other significant groups include the Ewe, Ga-Adangbe, Dagomba, and Hausa. There is also a sizeable community of expatriates from other countries in Africa, Europe, and Asia.
