Map of Taiwan

Taiwan is a small island located off the coast of southeastern China. The island is about the same size as the US state of Maryland and has a population of over 23 million people. Taiwan is divided into four main regions: the north, south, east, and west. The north is home to the capital city of Taipei, while the south is known for its subtropical climate and beaches. The east coast is mountainous and rugged, and the west coast is home to Taiwan’s major port city, Kaohsiung. Taiwan’s culture reflects its Chinese roots, but it also has influences from Japanese and Western cultures. Taiwanese cuisine is a delicious mix of all of these influences, and visitors to Taiwan will find plenty of delicious food to enjoy.
