A Ger is a traditional communal tent used by Mongolian families. They have been used for many generations by nomadic herdsman in Mongolia and across Central Asia.
These herdsmen move their flocks across great distances, due to the poor quality of the grazing areas. And as a result, everything must be portable; their families, homes and livelihoods all need to be carried on horseback.

A few tour groups offer this ger-style accommodation on some adventure trips, but why not jump on a horse and do it yourself? If you already have the inspiration to go, what's stopping you from creating your own unique experience?
Clearly, the most authentic experience would be to get invited into a ger by a Mongolian family. But it takes more work to befriend the locals compared to booking a night at a tourist camp. However, if you get the rare opportunity to stay with a local family, be sure not to overstay your welcome.
This is just an idea for a Trip that you can either Create with your own specific dates and requirements, or you can Find a Trip created by another traveller and join them on an adventure.
