Myself i'm 32, male. I want to do this trip with either 2 or 4 of us and prefer people who are able to withstand some trekking and hiking as Dominica has an incredible array of hot springs, waterfalls, trails etc etc and would like to really get a good vibe of the island while there.

I want to go spend a couple weeks exploring the island as well as a couple other islands around in while in the area. Nothing extreme and prefer hostels or retreats. Just take 4-7 weeks and chill out around the caribbean. I have no problem taking some days to find a beach with some drinks and do some snorkling or whatever, very laid back that way.

Carnival looks like a weeklong party and can't wait to experience it.

Kelley E Greetings! :) I too am considering a trip to Brasil, and would love to experience Carnival!! My time span is likely to be more like 2-3 weeks, but that isn't to say our journeys couldn't combine for a while and part ways when the time comes - particularly if more folks end up going as well. I'd love to do some hiking as well, and of course spend some time at the beach. Hostels would also be my preference, I know they are a great resource for meeting other travelers. Keep me posted on the evolution of your trip plans!
