I had my first encounter with silent Vipassana meditation this month in Malaysia. The 10 day course was the most challenging but rewarding experience in my five months of travel through India and Southeast Asia. The first three days of meditation were torture, but by the fourth day I felt sensations in my body that I’ve never felt before like tingling and vibrations from head to toe.
