Type Travel Partners Wanted
Hi there, My name is Nima & I'm a 36 year old male living in the New England area in the states. I have been to the beautiful island/province of Prince Edward Island twice and this is my first trip back during the non-peak season to cycle the island for a full week. I'm looking for a peddling partner (male or female) who would be open to covering the island a couple times over using the established Confederation Trail (rails-to-trails) system and also the coastal routes. In case you haven't been, the island is stunning, quaint, and the people are amazing (viva Canada : ). Charlottetown the providence capital has a lot to offer and is a perfect sized small city.
Ideally I would like to cover 60 to 80 miles daily as the terrain is flat and doable, maybe one century from coast to coast ... plenty of providential park stops, and ice cream stops at least once daily are mandatory on my side : ) I'm planning to camp most nights at providential campgrounds, but open to staying at a B&B occasionally or if weather calls for it.
Hope there is some takers out there. If you live in PEI and don't mind being posed with dozens of questions about the history and current status of the island and Canada in general, that would be fantastic as well.
