Me and a mate, both 21, plan to backpack for 9ish months using a mixture of transport, leaving our trip very open to changes. Have a RTW plane ticket but dates can be changed.
Fly from UK to LA Oct 20th
Overland travel (not sure how yet) through US/Canada to East Coast then back to West (2 months)
Fly from LA to NZ (1 month)
Then to Australia (1 month)
Fly to Singapore overland travel or cheap flights around SE Asia (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam) (3 months)
Travel to China (2 weeks-1 month)
Japan (1-2 weeks)
Back to China (up to a month)
Fly back to UK, if any money left travel into Europe, if not start earning money fro the next trip

Samaho I am planning to go Feb/2011 for some weeks to SE Asia. So maybe we can meet up there, when you're there at the same time.

Samaho Will be Begin-Mid Feb in Philippines, then moving to Thailand and travel from there around. Maybe Laos and Cambodia
