Luke I'm hoping to do the same, turn up in Melbourne around the 10th hit up Sydney for Xmas/New Year, then do the rest of the east coast with a trip across to NZ

Anthony A. Piskorik The whole point of my trip is to be in Sydney for NYE - everything else is flexible, however I can only take 2-3wks off of work.

Lauren Hey Anthony, do you have limited time to travel? Just because Aust is a big country to trek around... you might find that you're travelling non stop if you try to cover too many places. plus if you're into extreme sports, you'll want to probably spend a good amount of time in NZ.
