boncarter That sounds pretty nice. I'm still trying to figure out whether or not I can afford to go, so I'll let you know in a few days or so. I would really like to get away for like a week before my fall classes start. Where are you flying out of? I would probably be flying out of Chicago. My spanish isn't too great, but probably enough to be useful.

jvv81 I have a similar time schedule (12th-23) and want to make it to the beach for a few days of surfing. I was hoping to explore the country while doing some hiking/climbing/rafting, basically whatever is available. I went to Nicaragua last summer and had a blast and want to check out something new. I'd like to set this up by the middle of the week if anyone is ready to commit and buy plane tickets. My spanish is pretty good but its a little rusty so getting around shouldn't be a problem.

boncarter Hey, this sounds like a really fun trip!! I was thinking of doing some sort of trip to that area this summer. I am on a pretty tight budget and probably wouldn't be able to go with you the whole time, but I'd be able to go like from the 13th-22nd if you're flexible at all.
