Hello fellow travelers!
I am a 25 YO female from Canberra, my trip is mainly to France, although I will be starting in London- and I am open to suggestions.

I was thinking of staying in an apartment/ hostel and roaming around Paris for roughly a week- delving into the delicious goodies they have there- possibly even doing a cooking class.

Then making my way down to the French Riviera – enjoying the sun (hopefully) beaches , fantastic food and wine and the many sights. I am keen on venturing to Cinque terra as well.
If anyone is interested in joining me, I am happy to have some travelling buddies. Or if anyone is over there and would like some company for part of their travels drop me a line. The only disadvantage is that I have booked flights (and have a limited amount of time).

Lauren I would definitely take the train to Aix and Avignon. I was in that area in 2008 at about the same time of year and it was luscious! Aix will be in full lavender bloom and Avignon is your cheesiest dream ever.

chee Hey Briar, your plans sound pretty good. Also keen to hear a bit more detail about where you plan on heading. I will be flying into London on the 13th of Aug, spending a few days there, then going to Paris (and maybe others) for a few days before moving onto Spain (Barcelona, Madrid & Valencia).

Kaue I do recommend Cinque Terra, specially if you enjoy hiking for the best is to go from one village to the other. I have fancied visiting the French Riviera, specially Marseille and Nice, but haven't managed it yet.

Briar Hi Alouette, would love to chat more, what would you like to know? i have a friend who may be coming, but she is unsure if she has the funds so would be a last minute inclusion ATM. Paris was looking at hireing an apartment (if with a couple of People) as the apartments seem to be cheaper per week, or a hostel if im by my self - to meet others. in south france, thought it would be good to hire apartment again and a car so day trips dont mean changing accom- but completly flexible with this- basically i am open to all/ any input. and i looked at Aix-en Provence, thanks Lauren- it is deffinitly on my list! let me know your thoughts:)

Alouette Hi Briar, Aix in ful lavendar bloom is exactly what I want to see in France! Cheers Lauren. An apartment could work or I would be happy at a hostel as a second prefernce. I really want to see as much of France as I can, including Paris, country-side France, Normandy and so forth. Perhaps we can chat over email and go from there? I would also like to incorporate London and am looking at a 3-5 day tour of Ireland through Shamrock tours Cheers Alouette
