Starting in London, flying to either NYC or LAX. Staying for a few days (3-4) at either city then pick up a rental and hit the road. This is something I have always dreamed of!

Debating on driving down the South Coast or Completely across country and down the forever famous route 66! Or even both!

I know that it can be hard to qualify for rentals as most companies out there prefer to rent to over 25's. However some companies do allow under 25's to rent. Bad part is that they tend to charge more! (Booooo!!!) I myself will be 21 nearly 22 at this time.

I am yet to decide if renting a sleeper or camper van is best. Obviously with the camper van you wouldn't have to worry about sleeping costs (as much) although these are more expensive to rent. Or just go with a mini/sleeper van and stay in motels, hotels, hostels or campsites.

Me and a friend are really excited for doing this. So far I have only emailed a couple of companies in the US to find out some exact pricing of rentals etc... So it is early stages at the minute.

If anyone would be interested in joining or have any advise, please feel free to message me I would love to hear your thoughts. I am totally open to change!! :D
