Hi there! I'm an American girl with the intention of setting off on a round the world trip this fall, most likely leaving in August. I'll be starting in Texas and heading south through Mexico down to Central and South America. After that, I'd like to jet on over to New Zealand and work my way up through Australia and SE Asia. West would be the next direction, crossing through the Middle East, then throughout Europe. Turning south again, I'd like to finish off by making my way through Africa before I return home.
The dates on this trip are extremely flexible. I wish to travel for at least twelve months, if not longer. My general idea is laid out below, but I won't mind stopping to work if I fall in love with a place:
Mexico/Central & South American: August 2012 - November 2012
Australia & Asia: November 2012 - April 2013
Middle East: April 2013 - May 2013
Europe: May 2013 - August 2013
Africa: August 2013 - September 2013
Due to the length of this trip, I will be living as cheaply as possible, staying mainly in hostels or on people's couches. Except for major continent skips, buses and trains will likely be my main modes of transportation. I would love travel partners (anybody, regardless of age, gender, etc.) for any stretch of this trip! I'm highly interested in cultural outings, architecture, history, etc., but I also want to have a good time and experience worldwide nightlife and entertainment. Basically, I'm up for anything!
Hope to hear from you!

DaisyRose Hi! I like the sound of you/your trip! I'm a British girl and will be travelling around Italy (Rome, Puglia, Turin, Sardinia, Sicily) at end June-end of July. Will you be in Italy then? Julia
