Roundtrip: Miami FLORIDA - San Francisco CALIFORNIA - Group Travel

Hi guys, I want to get to know about the States... today I know more about Europe than America.

I will be leaving Miami around August 5th and coming back by August 25th, everything in the middle is possible, lol.

*Mission:
-Hitting as many great cities as I can and learning about them; tradition, culture, food, people, history.
-Meeting as many locals and surfers as possible.
-Talking the most pictures as my Iphone battery let me.
-Writing my first Blog.
-Networking (I am 25yo very techie guy,in the Energy and IT field).

*Time:
-I want to stay at least one week in California.
-The round trip can be a week a piece, the come back part might be by air, that is why we will drive a rent car on the way to CA.

*I want to hear about:
1-Best places to visit on my way? night life? events?
2-Who want to share a ride or to drive?
3-What are the best cities to work on with a computer science and power electrical engineering in 2012 with a Power and now IT background?
