Jasmin If you want to do Vietnam, I can only say, try doing the Cuc chi tunnels if you have to pass through Saigon, if not, skip it/take a night bus up the coast. I took mine to Nha Trang as it's known to be one of the nicest beaches. Wish i would have made it to hanoi as I heard people a friendlier up north and i really wanted to see Sapa and Halong bay. Mui ne isn't that interesting apart from red sand dunes :) Good luck on your trip

Cambui Da Nang? This is an interesting place in Viet Nam. I love to visit Da Nang, and most of the tourists come Viet Nam stay in Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue. You can try. If you need any information, do not hesitate to contact me. I am happy tobe your friend:)

cambrod Hey! I am going to be in SE asia May-August. Ill throw out my itinerary and hopefully we can cross paths. I will be in Thailand for most of may, Vietnam Cambodia and Laos for the last bit of may and all of june, Indonesia and Malaysia in July, and August is undecided!

daniellelowe Hi, I will only be in Asia for 3 weeks (super quick trip!) but plan to visit Kuala Lumpur, Yangon, Bangkok, Phenom Phenh, Hanoi, Hai Long Bay, angkor wat, Ho Chi Minh and wherever else I can squeeze into my trip!

Sierra @ Danielle- Ambitious! How will you manage to see so much in such a short amount of time? @ Cambrod- Where do you plan on starting your trip? My tentative itinerary is as follows:Bangkok-Krabi-Chiang Mai- Vientviane- Da Nang-Yangon-Bali-Sumatra-Back to Bangkok to finish... :)

daniellelowe Hi Sierra, I know I got a bit carried away when planning! I have flights books between the longer distances but plan on riding the reunification express in Vietnam and spending some time in the mekong delta in Cambodia. The main bulk of my trip is going to be in Cambodia and Vietnam so I can relax a bit more than in Bangkok (there for 3 days) and Yangon (2 days). Thought whilst Im in that part of the world squeeze as much in as possible and If I feel I've missed out I'll just go bak in 2013 :)

Sierra Have you been to BKK before? My last trip to Thailand I spent 2 weeks in BKK and 1 week in Krabi and it just wasn't enough. I made sure to carve out at least a month for Bangkok this time. I do love the city so much. I haven't been to Cambodia but it is on my list for a future trip. The long term goal is to live in Asia full time, but as I am sure you know, it is quite difficult for foreigners to find sustainable work in Asia. :(

daniellelowe Hey, nope never been to Bangkok before never been to Asia before so its a shame I'm cramming everything in but the way I see it is as an introduction then can spend months travelling it all at a later date. Yeh living in Asia sounds perfect but I bet its not easy. Had a few friends who used to do seasonal work in the big tourist towns in Thailand but that was never long term or permanent. Are you visiting any other parts of the world on this trip or is this strictly an Asia trip? x

Sierra This is strictly an Asia trip. I have a strong desire to go to Spain, Italy and Turkey- but I will have to wait until the next trip for that. :) I hope we are in the same area at the same time...are you traveling solo?
