Anybody is welcome to meet up with me at any point in this trip, be it a day a week, whatever! Im planning to begin my travel adventure around October 2010 time.

I plan to visit South East Asia and South America with Thailand and Peru my top places to visit, though I plan to visit several countries in between.

I’m not too keen on buying an ‘already organised’, ‘mapped out’, ‘around the world ticket’, I’m more set on going somewhere, staying as long as I like then moving on when I get bored – I mean, if I like somewhere, I might stay forever!!!

I have been to STA travel and sat for over an hour with a guy there (very helpful). The 'blueprint' of my travels is basically - i plan to do around 3 months 1st in SE Asia then 3 months S America. I am going to pay a little extra for a flexible around the world ticket that allows me to change flights (only have to pay the difference in flight cost) if i decide to stay longer as i dont want to be tied to a date at ANY point in my travels.

I plan to fly to Bangkok early-mid October, from there i will head North, cross into Laos then Vietnam, working my way down through into Cambodia, ending back in Bankok, then i will head south with Singapore my final destintation. From Singapore i will fly to Sau Paulo - from here there is no real route planned, all i know is i will head back to London from Rio. For this, my flights have been calculated at £1,350

Im looking at 6 months in total - but im VERY flexible, there really is NO TIME LIMIT as such.

Samaho Still in SE Asia during Feb?

Lauren We're in Peru right now, leaving in a couple of weeks to head down to Argentina. Will be there most likely until February, so keen to catch up with you if you're planning to go to Argentina. What's your itinerary like for South America?

Lauren Sweet! Let's do 26th or 27th, if you want let us know when is good for you when you actually get here, cause you might feel a little dizzy from the altitude. Hiked MP twice actually cause Todd got really sick the 1st time. Not quite sure where we're headed after this actually... will let you know when we know :) lol

tkhan yeahh sure. I just got in 30 mins ago. Flight delays outta lima ! Sweet - when and where do you wanna meet. Do you wanna head over to Loki and we´ll take it from there. Also, i can access email and FB from my phone app, so a msg on that i could retreive faster. You can msg on globetrooper FB or my wall. oKIES... Excited about tonight -- sorry cant figure out how to smiley face on this keyboard !

Walls Hey, this trip sounds great!!! I am leaving on November 8, going from London to Bangkok. I also plan to visit Brazil around April-May. Maybe we can meet anywhere in SOuth America... Have fun in your trip and keep in touch!!!

wanderingcindy I'm heading over to Thailand next week. I'll be in Chiang Mai and then southern Andaman area island hopping south down the coast to Malaysia. Anyone going to be in the Andaman area Nov 5-13/14ish and want to meet up? I'll be off to Bali afterwards.

Antonio D'souza I've already visited half of the countries on your list but am not opposed to revisiting them. Your timeline and budget match my own vision so I'm thinking of joining you. But I would like to know where you're getting your flexible around-the-world ticket to see if I can get this too.
