Heading to Bogota in January and will travel around in Colombia for a while. Then I will head north through Panama and Costa Rica to Nicaragua. Plan to do some hiking, scuba diving, climbing, surfing, hammock swinging but just discover what these countries have to offer.

Lauren Hey Megan, do you like to hike? Someone else has posted another trip that's from 1 Sep - 15 Oct hiking the El Camino route. http://globetrooper.com/el-camino-pilgrimage-france-spain-2011 You could tag this on at the start as you would definitely be 'exploring the country' then, And you could do some wwoofing and spanish lessons after? Just an idea, but the hike might be a bit gruelling :)

Megan Thanks for the suggestion, but I am no longer planning on going WWOOF'ing anymore as I have booked tickets to Guatemala this autumn. Perhaps some other time!
