This trip was originally set to start 2 weeks ago, and the route was through Europe, North Africa and down to Cape Town. Unfortunately with what is happening in Tunisia, Libya & Egypt getting health, evacuation & motor insurance is impossible. So the trip will have to wait until 2012.
In the mean time with, quite a bit of spare time I have decided on another trip which will take in much of the beauty of Sub Saharan Africa.
Leaving on the 1st of April this year from Durban / Cape Town we will head into Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi & Tanzania. The plan would be to take in most of the game reserves including Kruger, Okavango Delta, Hwange, Gorongosa, Ngorongoro CRater & Serengeti. Additionally the azure waters and beaches of Mozambique, Tanzania and Zanzibar. There are countless other landmarks and things to see on the way also.
We will make our way in a Land Rover Defender that is already kitted for this expedition. You can see a number of photos in the photo section of the website: Dublin2capetown.com.
I am looking for a maximum of 2 people to join me on this epic trip.
The cost as suggested includes accommodation, fuel, insurance & food. Its not something you have to pay for, but we will create a kitty or fund where everything is split.
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email!!
