Timmy
Timmy Hey Benjico, I'm really looking forward to following your trip and seeing how it's goes. 3 mates and I are planning on doing a similar thing next year but probably not on Vespas. Considering we're all pretty handy with a socket set and one of the guys is a engineer/mechanic we might just but our own. Any chance we could have a conversation via skype once you get back? I'd love to have a chance to ask you some questions and get an actually tourists perspective on this trip as opposed to Top Gears/a tour companies. Regards, Timmy
Samaho
Samaho I am planning to go Feb/2011 for maybe one month to SE Asia. So in case you (or somebody else) is still here by then would be nice to hear.
Jebbert
Jebbert Hey I am definitely interested in this, and could easily get the funds for it. I am a strong mountain climber and was thinking of doing Mont Blanc next year. I just got to make sure there is nothing planned already for that time. The only problem would be paragliding as I have never done that before.
ali_bc
ali_bc Hi Amy, I could meet you in San Francisco by that date. It's quite close to my plans. I'm keen to go all over the place exploring, especially the National Parks and the out of the way cities. Is this the kind of thing you plan to do? Cheers, Ali
ReddDavis
ReddDavis Do you have any more ideas of when and where you will be going? I have been dreaming of doing this since I was a child.

Adrian Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia...Travel buddies required Feb-April 2011
Hey all
The first time I visited Asia was through the military a few years ago and I always wanted to come back and do the whole backpacking trip. Now I have the opportunity, I’m looking to hook up with some travel buddies for around Feb-April. I will be going it alone and plan to spend roughly about 3 weeks in each country. As I haven’t worked out an itinerary yet I’m open to suggestions and would greatly appreciate some advice or any recommendations on budget and all that good stuff.
I’m 28, laid back and get on with pretty much anyone I meet; I love music, festivals, partying and culture.
If interested feel free to get back to me on my email address which is britman2k3@yahoo.com or facebook me Adrian Alzate Stewart

cali_jackson
cali_jackson Wow, I live in SF but used to live in San Jose for awhile. I've been to many Sharks games! That's my hockey team! I would recommend flying into Frankfurt or Amsterdam and buying a pass (Benelux or 3 country pass) for the trains for the week or two you're there. It will save ALOT of time getting from Stockholm south, and probably money too. I'll be in Berlin around 9-Oct so I may come to see the sharks play!!! I'm headed to Paris from there where I fly back to SFO on 16-Oct. Oktoberfest ends 4-Oct so if you could make it to Munich by then, you're guaranteed a sweet time!
cali_jackson
cali_jackson Hey, I'm covering alot of the same ground. Do you guys intend to hit Munich during Oktoberfest at all? It's the 200th Anniversary and you're supposed to experience it at least once in your life! Anyway, I'm making my way there from Amsterdam via France and Switzerland starting 17-Sep. If you guys can meet up, it would be great!!
Steph
Steph Hi Laura- would you consider going in the month of November? these are the exact places i was looking into myself, but have never been. ive traveled within central america, so i'm down for roughing it, eating good food, staying at a few nice places in between the not-so-nice.. kinda open to whatever. anyways- i'm in houston and depending on when my break from work comes, i'll be ready to head out. are you planning on being in thailand for the full moon party? (nov 21 and dec 21st)
Phite
Phite I am looking to purchase a new camera. Im not picky about brand but I wouldd like something that will pretty much hold up through anything like being tousled a in a bag or accidentally banged. Any suggestions?

Todd
Todd Hi Phite. Be aware that the 'rugged' digital cameras usually sacrifice image quality. We had one for many years and now when we flick through pictures, many are just not useable. We wrote about our latest camera purchase here: http://globetrooper.com/notes/samsung-tl350/
