Fenners Hi Damian. How are the plans coming along? I'm planning to travel in July/August and very interested in where you are at with your plans. Like you, I've never attempted anything like this before and I can't wait to get going.

Damian Hi Fenners, I'm slowly getting my plans in place. I finished doing a lot of research about locations, timing, weather, financial and political of all the areas I want to go. I also plan to start mid year. Thinking of heading into Central And South America first and then west towards Australia, but may go straight to Aus and leave America for last. What are your plans so far?

Fenners My trip has been brought forward to June and I'm going to go to Thailand, Singapore, Australia, NZ and Fiji. I still have a lot of planning to do, although it really feels as though things are coming together nicely. My initial list of countries/places to go was horrendously long and I decided that I'd rather visit less countries and really get to see them than rush to fit everything in. All being well, I'll cover America next year. Keep in touch and if we're in Aus at the same time (I'll be there in time for Christmas) let me know and we can hook up.

stewart Hi Damian, Sounds like we have both walked the same streets already, im 44 and have worked all my life, same as you i also have the same call to travel, Im looking to be in south america around august Ive not organized anything yet just putting out feelers for companions too

Damian Hi Stewart. I think August in South American is a little early for me. I'm hoping to start sometime in July in Central America. It may be more likely September for me at the earliest.
