TEFL Touring - Teach The World!
We are planning a TEFL group trip, take a look at the list of countries we are planning on visiting (in no particular order). The idea is to work our way around the world & the best way to do that is to start out doing a few TEFL contracts. Myself & a friend of mine are beginning our TEFL course this December and will be accredited somewhere in March 2012.
We are researching all the countries in which TEFL contracts are offered and have identified the countries which we most would like to visit. We are by no means bound to these countries and I also doubt very much whether we will get around to 50% of them.
We would gladly like for other aspiring adventurers to join us in this venture, or to join up with us for a while along the way! Any advice from adventurers experienced in TEFL touring would also be greatly appreciated...
As I write this, there is little over a year till we plan to depart for our 1st destination. Please, if you are interested in joining or assisting us, sign on with us and together, I'm sure, we can make this an adventure of a lifetime!
A little bit about us:
I am a professional theatre/film actor and musical composer. I have been active in the Performing Arts industry in South Africa for the past 10 years.
My travel partner, Anneen Maree, is currently completing a Masters Degree in something to do with Urban & Regional Planning.
We are both currently living in central South Africa.
Both of us enjoy meeting new people and having new experiences...adventure is the name of our game and we welcome any suggestions or tips from anyone who knows what they are talking about.

0rangeorchid I'm leaving to teach in South Korea in a few weeks, on a year contract. I'll be about done with it by the time you start, but I'll likely be going elsewhere afterwards, maybe our paths will cross.

Minx Hi Graham, interesting idea - but excuse my pragmatism, how will it work? As far as I know, TEFL teachers get somewhat circa $300/month, and that is on a full-time basis. What is your plan?
