The Way of St. James is a Christian pilgrimage (but you don't have to be religious, I sure as sh*t am not) to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the apostle Saint James are buried. The pilgrimage has been walked by people for over 1000 years.
It takes around five weeks to walk the 500 miles from the Spanish Pyrenees to the Cathedral but we are planning on biking it (mainly because we are not allowed more than two weeks off work at a time).
Length of time: two weeks
Accommodation: tent or real accommodation for the richer people interested
Weather: sunny but not overly warm
