Day 2: Lhasa for acclimatization, relax... (suggested sights: Sera Monastery), with tour guide
Day 3: Lhasa (suggested sights: Potala Palace, Drepung Monastery), with tour guide
Day 4: Lhasa, free day with tour guide
Day 5: Lhasa, free day with tour guide
Day 6: Landcruiser trip: Lhasa - Namtso Lake, with tour guide
Day 7: Landcruiser trip: Namtso Lake - Lhasa, with tour guide
Day 8: Landcruiser trip: Lhasa - Yamdrok Lake - Gyantse - Shigatse, with tour guide
Day 9: Landcruiser trip: Shigatse - Tingri - Everest Base Camp
Day 10: Landcruiser trip: Everest Base Camp - Zhangmu Nepali border
You will cross the border on Day 11, make sure you have enough time on your Chinese visa.

We have 2 girls here, and would like to look for another 2-3 buddies to keep the cost down. We are on a tight budget, so will be staying in dorms and having cheap food mostly!

Current quotation we have is RMB 4,000 for the above 10 days per pax (for group of 4), excluding food, accom outside Lhasa and entrance tickets.

We will be heading to Nepal for a short trip, and flying back home from Kathmandu!

Sander Hi, Im Sander and have been working for two years in China (im from Europe and 32 years old). Im planning to travel from Xining to Lhasa etc starting around 18 sept. Im quite flexible but have to be back in Shanghai on 5 oct. Im serious looking for travelmates, as this is the only way to have a good trip to Tibet. Please let me know if youre interested. I'm a experienced traveller.

Fenny Hi Sander, thanks for your response! Let me know what you think of the above itinerary. We only have 2 girls now, and are keen to make up a group of 4 so the cost can be kept low (we are on a really tight budget). We are pretty much set on going for the trip, just looking for 2-3 more buddies! We kind of have to keep to the dates 19-28 sep in tibet, and then 3-4 days in nepal, as we gotta get back to work the following monday! We are both from Singapore, moderately experienced travellers but have never been to altitudes higher than 4,000m; I currently work in Hong Kong.

Sander Hi Fenny, Thank you for your reply. I'm very serious in going to Tibet in exactly the same period, although in my preferred itenary I leave by train from Xining (China) to Lhasa. This must be most beautiful and exciting. Would it be possible to combine this in your itenary? In that case I would be very interested. My altitude experience is about 4800m in Peru/Bolivia.
