Hello fellow travlers ! I am leaving in january to thailand, to cambodia, and ending up wherever doors open. At this point i am not even sure of my return date. Heading this way ? looking for adventure? Lets meet up ! it may be one day , one week, or one hour ! Looking forward to meeting amazing people and seeing the world. Lets trek a mountain, take a hike, a bike ride, canoe, volunteer and help the world, meditate or grab a beer ! Share with me your ideas

Caitie Goddard Hi Steph if you end up staying longer and want to do a cycling trip for charity, let me know! I'm heading to Vietnam in mid-April to bike from Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An raising funds for some gorgeous kids :) Let me know if you're interested!

Darren Driscoll hi steph, i am thinking of a trek to SE Asia in early Jan ,will fly out of london, like you have no return date,and just see where i end up,but would love to have a travel companion as i would be new to all this and like will be my first time,have done alot of travelling in the past,now have time to do some more,i also have done some volunteering work in Sri lanka after the sunami a few years ago realy enjoyed it

Darren Driscoll hi steph, many year ago travelled to Aus and bali spent 2 months there ,done most of Canada,and new england mostly sking,with Florida and mexico thrown in, alot of europe and especialy italy as i have a home there, at the moment ,right down south,beautifull country,spent a month in south africatwo years ago, and of course sri lanka, have you traveled much in the usa

krabisteph wow - nice! i havnt done much traveling here either - i have been to WA state, florida, kuai, oahu, and mexico - i guess i meant this is my first time traveling big :) bali- i have always wanted to see- looks amaazing ,

krabisteph @ jersey- so far im looking at krabi and phuket for sure- this is my first time as well and to be honest im not sure where the hell im going or what all ill be doing :) im just planning on "going with the flow " really. i am still working on getting my visa- congrats on adventuring out btw :) i am not a "biker" either, but i like to just roll around . im really open and enjoy almost anything - hiking, backpacking, art, sightseeing, exploring, partying, eating, whateve ! :) what are your interests ??
@ shashy- sounds like we will be there the same time ! im going jan- march as well what do u plan on doing while your there ??

shashy thanks for flight info. i have no idea what i'm going to do. i probably won't start working on my itinerary until late-nov. i love the lonely planet site, and have been skimming the forums for ideas (check out http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?threadID=1692781). i'm thinking about volunteering through vfp.org. i recently become a certified diver so i def'ly want to do a bit of diving/snorkeling. in addition to southeast asia, i want to explore india and/or australia (budget permitting) during this trip.

krabisteph o i apologize if this comes up twice - i was trying to repley but i dont see it anywhere ?? anyhow- congraduations on your diver cert ! so aswome ! i hope you are able to reach all your destinations - i feel i will be adicted after this ( my first time traveling far - and on my own ) thank you for the site info= i will check it out for sure. well keep in touch - i am still trying to figure things out as well

krabisteph hey vanessa- i am still in the beginning stages as well - the only thing i know for sure is my flight dates ! :) i am so excited that you are looking to do the same , i am totally open to a more long term companion- this is my first time getting out and traveling the word, and on my own !! i am thrilled at the idea of having some one to do it with. im pretty easy going - just go with the flow- one week, the whole time- im good with it all . i think its great you have found some volunteer places- i havnt found any yet - but if you are interested in hiking/ backpacking- i could do some research on that and we coud cordinate plans - ! let me know :)

sapote looks like Lots of options for meetups and multiple adventures :) i will be in se asia starting med dec looks like. and would likly go to Phils late dec early jan time period. coming from US get three weeks on arrival figure on using them biking around from Cebu. would love to take ferry over to Malaysia or maybe it is Borneo that is close by there. sounds like a possible adventure. will be meeting another friend in Mal to bike in feb. let me know if any of that intersts you. id liike bike companions in Phils. can rent there i have found out. i go slow, not long miles per day. travel cheap but like to feel safe in doing that. purusing markets is one of my enjoyments of travel. i enjoy hiking walking, sleep early, up early :) so few definitions about me

JERSEY /anywhere but here.../ @krabisteph - where in thailand? and may i ask about the visas for those countries u mentioned... am just about to start conquering the world as a backpacker, though i've been to SG & MY a few years back. tnx. @sapote - am from the philippines. i wanna go to cebu or davao but not much of a biker... any other activities while u are here?

sapote Jersey, i should be asking You, what to do. whats a cheap place to jump to Phils from? i would hike too, but really do enjoy biking as i go further and see more of the countryside i might not beable to walk to. i also hope to take the ferry from the south over toward Malaysia. any thoughts re that?

shashy hi all! thought i'd join the conversation. i also want to venture to southeast asia in jan until feb/march. it'll be my first time in asia and i'm really excited. i'm down for meeting up too. where, i have no idea :) -- jersey, it sounds like we'll be departing from the same part of the world.if you come across any great flight deals, PLS post them. thanks

hedwig Hi! I'm leaving for Bangkok in three weeks, but if all goes as planned, I will still be in Asia in January! Probably in Southern Laos by then, heading to Cambodia and, depending on how much time I have left, Vietnam. I will probably be in Asia untill the beginning of March, so if you wanna meet up, keep in touch!
