Trekking & Diving Southeast Asia November '10 to ?!? - Group Travel

I'm taking a 9+ month rtw trip starting in Bangkok on November 10th and will be generally heading South through Malaysia and into Indonesia before heading back North through the Philippines to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, across China through Nepal and into India. I have no specific route and am very flexible with dates, times and geography. I'm just out to travel the world and see as much as I can. As for transportation and accommodation, will be traveling with a modest budget in mind, but probably not bare bones. I like my amenities at times and have a few perks saved up just for this trip. I would like to focus on diving while in the southern half of Southeast Asia, but i won't be "on the boat" everyday. I would also like to get away from the beaten path at times, away from the bars and resorts and find a few new places that are a little less populated. Anyone is welcome to come along for any portion they like or even help plan decide on a portion. I'm really open to going anywhere and love company, so come along...
