Trip around Bolivia and Northern Chile for 3-4 weeks - Group Travel

3-4 weeks: Trip around Bolivia, Northern Chile and maybe a little bit South Peru.

My fist plan was to drive by a rent car – but I do not know if this is a real good idea due to high robberies. Now I think about the cheaper, but not so flexible, way with public transport.

It is hopeful if one of us can speak at least a little bit Spain.
For getting other impulse and ideas I prefer if one or more woman at our group.

In my fist planning are these following steps include:
Bolivia: Salar de Uyuni, Potosí, Sucre, Santa Cruz, Villa Tunari, Oruro, Cochabamba, La Paz, Titicacasee, Sajama, Pomerape
Chile: Chuquicamata, Arica, Putre, Iquique, Lago Chungara
Peru(?): Tacna

The start and endpoint is open can be Calama, Iquique, Arica, Tacna, La Paz, Cochabamba or Santa Cruz.
My way takes around 3000 km – is this too much for 3-4 weeks?

What will I do during the trip?
I´d like to walk a little bit around on interesting places. I planned on one day a great hiking on the Vulcan Pomerape. At the villages and towns I´d like to see historical and typical places. I always prefer to see places with local and only a few tourists. I hope there are some beautiful dinners or parties at night.
