Sherri I hear you there. i try to do that under normal circumstances for work too (like for this thanksgiving, I'm taking M-W off and already have Thurs and Friday off, LOL). Summer is bad for me and work, i won't get approved for 2 consecutive weeks between May and Sept. and the only reason I chose after Oct 15th is because i work in at a law firm and my tax season (for anything on extension) ends Oct 15th. So, sorry, that is why my dates are somewhat stuck. i hear the best time of year to visit Italy is October, any other time is too hot or visa versa. Hope i'm not rambling :) I don't know if you get the Columbus day holiday off? that is in October. keep in touch...maybe we can work on something?
Alejandro Mateo Sherri thanks for your response. I do have Columbus Day off and I can not make the trip either Jan or Feb. I just pick the summer because everybody says if the best time to be in Europe specially Spain. I had to my research and for that time plane ticket (mia-spain or mia-france) is arround 1,200 and a eurorail ticket is 587 to visit all these countries. Probably in October plane tickets are shipper but some countries are kind of cold already like Germany. Anyway I'm definitely going next year and would be nice to have a partner. I'm not thinking on a big group because one of my alternative is http://www.airbnb.com/ . I don't know if you have heard about before but it is a well known site where well known hosts rent you a room in their houses relative cheap and give you advise and orientations when you are on the city. As many good review has a host more confident generates between travelers. So this is a big help if you are traveling alone or with a partner but for 3 or 4 you have to think in another alternative. Let me know the days tentative you could do the trip and we go from there.
