Lauren Hey guys, I'm Lauren (founder of the site). Just wanted to clear up the confusion with chatting & messaging etc. Basically, the best place to chat about travel plans is here in the Trip Talk section - in case other people stumble across the trip and want to know what stage you're at. This also means that EVERYONE can see it though. So if you want to find out more personal info, it's best to connect on Facebook or Twitter etc. If you login and then click the "My Trips" button way at the top, you will see your profile and be able to edit it and add in your facebook/blog/couchsurf urls etc. Happy planning!
