avi The finest tours are individual. One goes where one wants, isn't hung up by someone else's problems and break-downs - and flexibility can become as much a problem as a freedom. I think more research is necessary prior to undertaking such a journey. I speak from experience.
claire
claire yes you're probably right (although I managed a month in france alone on the road on my 125cc honda two and a half years ago with very little research...) as you can see the trip is somewhat amended now...i do agree that the finest tours are indeed individual...

avi Be prepared and learn to rely on self and locals for help. If another breaks down, you're stuck being responsible for them as well. I've ridden many places both with and without partners - I prefer alone and to meet people along the way. Most importantly be prepared.

Ludmila Adventure alone is great if you are cautious and take care and responsibility. You can always find some nice people on the way so believe there will not be much troubles

avi I disagree, to get the most out of it one needs to pursue adventure alone. Its wonderful to meet folks along the road and travel with them a distance but in the end, traveling alone is absolutely the best way. A group leaves you with responsibilities you'll eventually wish you didn't have. Do more research on this. Learn from those who came before you.
