I'm leaving the political world for a solo RTW trip to explore, photograph,and dive everything I can while trying to find a new place for myself on this marble. First stop Thailand 11/10/10 and I'll be figuring out the rest from there. I'd love to join a group or anyone's welcome to join me.

Brooks Hi Dali, I'm headed to Thailand in Mid-November to start a rtw. I briefly went to Burma in 2008, and can't wait to go back to travel more extensively. Do you know more specifically where you'd like to go and what your dates will be? Thanks!

dali Hi Brooks! I have sort of put the trip on hold due to lack of interest from fellow travellers and also I have been warned about going when the sham elections are being held soon: and there could be blood shed. I am toying with the idea at the moment of rescheduling the trip for November 2011 with a different focus. Maybe to recruit people who will raise $1000-$3000 over the next 12 months and then tour Myanmar with me looking for worthy receipients.Just a different type of trip where I am less of a observer and consumer and more of a doer and a pro active traveller. So at this stage it seems I will be delaying the trip.

Brooks I'm sorry to hear that you'll be delaying the trip. I'm still planning on heading there this winter. If you change your mind, let me know. I'm always looking for company.
