I am 30 years old and have always enjoyed traveling, 27 country's so far and I don't plan on slowing down any time soon. For the last year and a bit I have been living in Scotland and working at a hotel, doing mostly maintenance and renovation jobs. Its pretty fun I get a room in the hotel and all my food made for me by the kitchen and never have to worry about doing the dishes. Having a bar in the living room is pretty cool too.
I grew up in Canada but I have also spent 6 months working in Belfast and year around England. Now I am planing a working holiday and traveling around Australia. I already have my work visa.
I usually find jobs as I go by walking in to places, talking to who ever is in charge and seeing what they need help with. I find it much better than using a CV. If you look interested in hanging around they'll usually put you to work, and there is no waiting around for a phone call, you know if you have a job by the time you leave.
I like to thing of my self as a laid back, happy guy who has decided I am not at a time in my life when I want to settle down and surround my self with things I don't really need. I want to travel the world, Meet different people and experience cultures that are completely different in every way from what I am used to. I think its safe to say I'm a long term traveler with a long list of country's I want to see.
Also a cool web page I found recently is oneworld.com you can plan round the world flights with up to 16 stops. As you go it shows you all the airports you can fly to next without any stopovers and witch ones will have only 1. I Playing around with it for a wile it is easy to use and I found it usually came to about £3000 to do an amazing tour of places I want to see in every far off place in the world I want to check out. Defiantly worth it if your looking for a crazy travel adventurer. I defiantly am!!
