Chris There are some great places in the UK if you don't mind the variable weather and yup we have some of the best pubs found anywhere, I live in the UK if anyone is curious. Pub trips entwined with city tourism as you work your way around England, Wales and Scotland is a fantastic way to see the country.

Joshua Hey bro this sounds like just the crazy thing that the marshman brothers should be doing at this point in their lives! I'll catch up with you soon more on it. Chris Kenya would be an amazing place to visit, if you are browsing trips and are unsure what to try, definitely consider Kenya. It is a beautiful part of Africa and one of the safest parts also for tourists and explorers.

Josh Rodstein A little of Both. Italy & Spain are a must. I have a friends id like to visit in Amsterdam, Ireland, and Heidelberg, Germany. Also some family Ive never met in London. Other than that I'm just gonna see where the road takes me. Any advice on a preferable order or path from country to country?

Chris Sounds like a fantastic trip and you already have the perfect itinerary worked out. I imagine there are quite a few Globetroopers on the site that would appreciate such a tour for the culture and the fact it is a life time experience not to be missed, good luck with your trip.

Chris Ecuador sounds exciting, I have been to Brazil and Mexico in the past, albeit on holidays, both of which were fantastic places and very very different to parts of the world that I have seen before, great culture and recreation to be found wherever you look. Like all these places in South America there is never quite enough time to see everything but if you are going for a longer time you should be able to see some of the great wonders of the Americas. Plus of course improve your Spanish language skills!

fijiaaron Yeah. My wife is busting my chops about how I should be studying Spanish more now.

Ecuador does have some amazing travel spots (like the Galapagos) but one thing we like about it is how laid back the country is. We can have weekend hikes and surf trips, explore the mountains and jungles, and then take excursions to other countries to sample the cuisine and people (no we're not cannibals.)

But day to day we'll have good friends and culture, and an afternoon stroll with the kids to the park can include passing magnificent colonial architecture and 25 cent ice creams.

All in all it's a great place to settle down and get some work done on my business without retreating to the suburbs and getting saddled with a mortgage that would keep us from exploring further.

If you ever make it down to Ecuador Chris, please stop by.

Todd Hey Aaron. Love the trip. We've been doing the same for the past 15 months or so. Have you heard of Startup Chile? Applications are open right now. They provide $40k to new startups who are willing to work out of Chile for 6 months. They are less interested in the idea and more the people (just a tip if you decide to apply). Otherwise, good luck with the new venture. Would love to hear more about it and talk shop.

fijiaaron Todd- I have heard of Startup Chile. Thanks for bringing it up. I think it's awesome, and I've been involved in StartupWeekend here in Seattle. I'd seriously consider getting involved in Startup Chile but we're pretty set on making Ecuador our base because we have friends there. I'd like to get down to Chile though, and would love to find some talent to recruit. I might try it once I've got a team built though. Anyone interested?
